Deb Gage, President and CEO of Medecision, told a packed room that disruptive innovation through partnerships will get us to a tipping point on the path to population health.

Deb shared the notion that the rise of consumerism in healthcare has occurred in part because the system as it stands today doesn’t make us feel valued. Given the amount of information at our disposal, we should be able to develop prospective insights into risks and factors of care for individuals and interact with them. However, creating these insights is not possible in a disconnected system.

While many are quick to blame regulatory barriers and hurdles to impeding success in this initiative, Deb does not believe this to be the case. Disruptive innovation led by effective partnerships can create the connections and leadership necessary to deliver valuable insights capable of enabling population health.

At Medecision, Deb is responsible all aspects of the company’s growth and operations. Medecision was listed as one of the 100 Most Promising Big Data Solution Providers by CIO Magazine and listed in Healthcare Informatics “HCI 100” list of the highest revenue healthcare IT companies.
